The objective of this training program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills that are required to become a professional and certified nursing assistant. The program curriculum is aligned with current community and industry demands, with an emphasis on applying patient care theory and hands-on training to real-world patient situations. Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

  • Provide physical and emotional support to patients in long-term care facilities and hospitals
  • Implement patient care plan under the direction of LPN and RN staff
  • Assist patients in performing activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per facility and federal regulations
  • Accurately collect and record vital signs, including pulse, respirations, and blood pressure
